Honda is the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles, as well as the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines, measured by volume. Honda overtook Nissan in 2001 to become the second largest Japanese automaker.

Honda was the first Japanese automaker to release a luxury brand in North America dedicated to the Acura's debut in 1986. Apart from its main business of automobiles and motorcycles, Honda also makes garden equipment, marine engines, watercraft and generators, among others. Since 1986, Honda has been involved with artificial intelligence / robotics research and launched its ASIMO robot in 2000. We also have ventured into the aerospace sector with the creation of GE Honda Aero Engines in 2004 and Honda HA-420 HondaJet, scheduled for launch in 2011.
